Since 1950, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo has been the largest global gathering in the UK of military musicians and performers from around the world. Held during the Edinburgh International Festival, it is performed against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle and embraces a different theme each year. The production features a range of superb international performers from Massed Military Bands to cultural troupes to singers, but the highlight of the evening has to be the spine-tingling sights and sounds of the worldfamous Massed Pipes and Drums; one of the finest displays anyone can witness anywhere in the world.
